Accessibility statement

This page describes the level of accessibility of leonardopedestal.com and how we checked it. It is not required by any statute: we publish it by choice, because we believe an accessible site is simply a well-built site, and we want to be explicit about what we tested and what we did not.

Conformance level

The site is designed and tested to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

This statement covers the whole of leonardopedestal.com in all four languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish): the homepage, the request-information and download-brochure pages, the privacy & cookie policy, and this page itself.

Known limitations

A few sections of the homepage are choreographed by page scroll (the pinned photo sequences and the horizontal Nano and Superyacht product galleries): when the visitor's operating system or browser asks for less motion (prefers-reduced-motion), these sections collapse to static blocks, stay readable, and stay keyboard-operable. They remain the part of the site most likely to hide a barrier we have not yet found.

The downloadable brochure PDF, once it is published, is not covered by this statement: we will assess it separately and update this page.

Accessibility tools on this site

Every page carries a fixed button, low on the screen, that opens an accessibility panel with preset profiles (low vision, colour blindness, dyslexia, reduced motion) and individual controls for text size and spacing, typeface, alignment, colour saturation, light/dark inversion, hiding images, pointer size, a reading guide, and more. These settings stay in the visitor's own browser and are never sent to our servers.

How we checked

Every time the site is published we automatically run: an axe-core scan of every page at two different viewport widths; a check of minimum touch- target size against success criterion 2.5.8; a check of keyboard focus visibility across six layout breakpoints; a reflow test against success criterion 1.4.10, down to a 320-pixel viewport with no horizontal scrolling or lost content; a colour-contrast check in both normal and inverted-colour modes; and a cumulative-layout-shift measurement of zero.

A technician also checks by hand, using only a keyboard, that every function of the site can be reached and operated without a mouse, in a sensible tab order.

We want to be blunt about this: the site has not been tested with real assistive technology, such as a screen reader (for example NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver) or voice-recognition software, and it has not been tested with people with disabilities. The automated and manual checks described above lower the risk of known barriers, but they are not a substitute for testing with the people who use those tools every day.

This statement is a self-assessment carried out by Leonardo S.R.L. and its technical provider, not an audit performed by an independent third party.
